Since receiving the news that both the Hewitt Fertility Centres Knutsford and Liverpool can recommence fertility services, the teams have been working hard contacting all those patients who had treatment cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and getting them restarted on their fertility journey. Exciting times for all of you and we wish you the very best of luck for the next few weeks ahead! 

We are now in the process of contacting those patients who were unable to start their treatment, either first or subsequent cycles. If you have already contacted us to start your treatment, we will be back in touch with you to give you guidance on when and how you can get started.

We know that the last few months have been really tough for everyone and we are so grateful for everyone’s patience. Our priority as always is the safety of our patients and staff and to this end the service may feel a little bit different to how it was before as we have put many safety measures in place to ensure we minimise the risk to everyone.

The biggest change is that we have initially reduced the number of patients visiting the clinic to 50% capacity. This is just for a couple of weeks while we assess that all the safety measures are working as we expect them to, then we can increase this further.

All clinic appointments are strictly via appointment only, which does mean we can’t continue with our ‘drop in’ service but should undoubtedly reduce your waiting times.

We are now offering many more virtual and phone consultations to reduce the number of visits you need to make – hopefully this should turn out to be a very positive change as it reduces the number of times you need to travel.

Due to the large volume of calls from many of you desperate to get going with your treatment, our phone lines are extremely busy. We apologise if you do have to wait a short time for a call back but we have made additional staff available to deal with your enquiries as quickly as possible.

We are continuing to contact all of you patiently waiting to start your treatment and those who may be anxious and wish to wait a while longer before starting, and we are sorry if you feel you haven’t heard from us for a while. All of us at the Hewitt Centres realise how any delay or change to fertility treatments can be hugely stressful and frustrating.
