At this time of year, you’re likely buying the perfect presents for your nearest and dearest. Running around finding those slippers for Nan, socks for dad, the newest video game for your nephew or maybe even a little treat for yourself. At this time of year, we’re all filled with the spirit of giving and enjoy the love and company of our family. However, for some people, a Christmas surrounded by a young family is something they can only dream of.

Thousands of people across the UK suffer with fertility issues, meaning they are unable to conceive a child by conventional means. These people rely on the altruism of a small amount of amazing people who make the decision to become sperm and egg donors, giving the most amazing, life-changing gift to those in need.

Sadly, the number of people volunteering to donate sperm and eggs has fallen in recent years, while the number of people in need of these donations has risen. This means that a growing number of couples are unable to overcome their fertility issues and achieve their dream of having a family of their own.

Here at The Hewitt Fertility Centre, we are asking you to give someone the greatest gift this Christmas. While you look forward to the joy of Christmas morning, watching your sons and daughters, nieces and nephews, unwrapping their presents and the happiness on their faces, try to think how difficult it must be for people who that reality is out of reach. You can give them a chance to change that. We are looking for men and women to pay us a quick visit and see whether you may be a suitable donor and be willing to donate your sperm or eggs for use in fertility treatments.

We strive to make sure that all of our amazing donors find the process easy and comfortable. We can reimburse you for all of your expenses in getting to and from the clinic to make your donation, as well as arranging a time for your visits that is most suitable.
