Come and meet our Lead Embryologist, Dawn Yell, as she answers your embryology questions. Whether you are currently undergoing fertility treatment or you are preparing to take that next step, this is the perfect opportunity to enter in to a safe and welcoming environment alongside others who might be having the same thoughts or concerns as you are.

The Q&A will last approximately one hour, between 6 – 7pm, and will be held at the Hewitt Fertility Centre at Liverpool Women’s Hospital. There is no need to register, just turn up.

After the Q&A, you are welcome to stay for our monthly Patient Support Group meeting, a friendly and informal place where we talk, support and help each other. See here for more information.

If you have any questions, please email our Counsellor John Lippitt at

About Dawn Yell

Dawn began her career in embryology as a trainee at the Hewitt Fertility Centre in 2004, where she spent four years learning all routine aspects of IVF. Since then, she has worked in a number of senior positions at other fertility clinics, including Genea in Sydney, which she describes as an “incredibly innovative place work and at the cutting edge of technology.” In 2018, she made a welcome return to the Hewitt Fertility Centre as our Lead Embryologist. She is also currently undertaking the Higher Specialist Scientific Training programme – a doctorate level qualification – in reproductive science. Dawn is extremely passionate about her job and enjoys the patient contact aspect the most.
