Mr Andrew Drakeley is the Clinical Director at the Hewitt Fertility Centre, working principally at the Liverpool Women’s site but with managerial responsibility for Knutsford. He holds subspecialty accreditation in Reproductive Medicine and surgery and is a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, being appointed Consultant in 2005. His MD thesis was written on recurrent late miscarriage, for which he runs a fortnightly recurrent miscarriage clinic. Mr Drakeley leads on fertility preservation, viral discordancy, egg donation, egg sharing and surrogacy. He is an experienced surgeon including laparoscopic surgery and out-patient ambulatory surgery including myosure myomectomy. He performs most of the testicular surgical sperm retrievals. Mr Drakeley sits on the Trust oversight Board for the Future Generations project responsible for the re-organisation of healthcare in Liverpool.
